If it wasn’t apparent… it was a play on ‘no shirt, no shoes, no service,’ but… now, we’ve explained it, and it made it worse… *Ehem* Moving right along~!!

You might be saying: An Indigo East post written by Kiki+Koko!!? This is unheard of! We know, this is a very strange change of pace and the categories might be very confusing, but don’t worry, because it will all make sense soon enough. We’re here to keep you in the know! This isn’t just to let you in on new designs available from Indigo East~ No, no, it’s much more than that!

‘新元号’ (New era) 令和 (Reiwa)

We’re so excited to announce we’ve just recorded our very first podcast!! If you’re a patron on Patreon, then you were able to get a super exclusive ultra early sneak-peek in gratitude for supporting the content. But, those of you who return here every Monday and Friday for brand new content also deserve something amazing for making what we do worthwhile! And, this week, that’s an entire extra post! That’s right, on Wednesday, you’ll get a special once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the first to listen to our first podcast. And, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is due to a once-in-a-lifetime historical event which we’ll tell you about in the podcast~! If you can’t tell already, this is something very exciting to us, and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.

令和 (Reiwa)

But, this announcement isn’t without content of its own, no no~ Whether or not you’re someone who knows about this big upcoming event, we still hope you’ll enjoy our explanations and conversations as well as Japanese vocabulary and culture notes, but we hope you’ll start the new era we’re entering wearing something that commemorates the time. Though, we have to admit, it feels strange wearing our own faces on a shirt, but you won’t have to worry about that. (Unless, you look just like us… in which case, that might be even more brilliant…)

令和 （れいわ）

These two designs by Indigo East combine a retro style with a new era which creates an interesting juxtaposition. The wavelike graphics accent the work as if emulating a retro television or newspaper which also creates an interesting texture that both stands out as a design and blends into the contours of the shirt, trousers, dress, or whatever design you choose. The bold black lines stand out on every colour making for something unique to your choices.

新元号 (しんげんごう) ｜令和 (れいわ)

We hope you’ll get a nice cuppa, snuggle up and relax, and join us for a little less than a half an hour to talk and learn and chill with some new and classic lofi beats. You’ll have the option of a purely audio version as well, if you’re someone who wants to multitask like on the train or a walk, or just focus on the sound of the beats and our voices during an ultra-snuggle, which is what we call building a blanket fort with a blanket over your head for ultimate snugness. Warning: Avoid wearing a blanket over your head for too long.. it’s probably hard to breathe and you could spill the tea. But, other than that, do what you enjoy or just take some time to relax and learn with us this Wednesday.
