HELLO! I AM QUIZBOAnd, welcome to:

チャレンジ

January One Month Word of the Weekday Challenge!

Start participating in our challenge every weekday for one month to form a positive habit, whether you are an absolute beginner or continuing your studies with a new fresh perspective!  (Do not worry if you miss a day or two on your challenge. Just do your best, and pick up where you left off!)

Every instalment, you will be introduced to many words and phrases in their original Japanese script, and potentially in their phonetic counterparts such as 仮名(かな・kana) or ローマ字 (ろーまじ・roomaji). I, QUIZBO™, will also personally pronounce each word for you. But, this is not all, as it will include at least one or two example sentences to help you use the word or phrase in future. Though, it is possible that with Kiki and Koko’s contributions, they may have become more than just a few sentences. But, you will benefit from this educationally, and will hopefully gain some enjoyment out of these always useful, and always VERY realistic Japanese language scenarios.

But, QUIZBO™, you efficient, and well-ventilated computer robot, you say, “It is not January, anymore. How can this be called January Japanese?”

And, that my friend, is where you may have an error in your processing data ー save for my work to resource expenditure ratio. For you see, in Japanese, January,一(いちがつ・ichigatsu) and one month 一(ひとつき・hitotsuki)are spelt the same way. So, do not just relegate your resolutions to January. January is whenever you need it to be!

Resolve to start your Japanese language learning journey,
today… for a better tomorrow!

Declarations!  |

Make a public commitment to learning Japanese with us, so your followers can constantly ask you, “How are your Japanese studies going?“, and will either eventually shame you into studying more, or just take up all of your time asking you about your studies so that you forget to actually put in the work of studying. Either way, you are getting interactions. And, is that not what the internet is all about, Charlie Brown?

In Japanese, January,一(いちがつ・ichigatsu) and one month ,一(ひとつき・hitotsuki) are spelt the same way. So, January is pretty much whenever I need it to be.

What I’m saying is resolutions are for any time of the year, and I’m resolving to start learning Japanese this month.
