🔊Japanese Word(s) of the Week w/ QUIZBO™ | 【涼しい】

6–8 minutes

HELLO! I AM QUIZBO™!I am not only the computer robot friend of Kiki and Koko of Kiki+Koko: Let’s NihonGO!! Online, but I also hope to be your personal Japanese language assistant. Alongside Kiki and Koko, I display characters, pronounce vocabulary words, and create quizzes. No, I may not be Artificial Intelligence, but I will overclock my Heisei era CPU in order to provide you with the best Japanese language learning resources that can be provided. And, whether you are an advanced student or just beginning your Japanese language learning journey, Word of the Week is here for you.

Each week, Word of the Week features an exclusively screen Japanese vocabulary word, analysed by our elite team of twin Japanese teachers and a Heisei era computer robot—that is me, QUIZBO™. Each vocabulary word is paired with vital information such as pronunciation, usage, definitions, kanji details, and more. In order to give you the best chance of retaining these important lexical paragons, we work together with Kiki+Koko: Let’s NihonGO!! Online in order to create useful and hopefully enjoyable example sentences. More advanced and intermediate learners may use these as an opportunity to glean grammar and additional vocabulary. Each is paired with a politeness scale as well as a difficulty scale, and each is read aloud as often as you require. Though I am able to repeat as many times as possible, teachers Kiki and Koko have pre-recorded their sentences in order to give you the chance to listen multiple occasions.

Though reading and listening to the provided example sentences can assist in retaining the vocabulary, it is recommended that you attempt to create your own sentences, as well. The vocabulary presented today is an adjective, so newer students and those who fancy a revision/review may benefit from reading our adjectives series. It is recommended to begin with 形容詞の基本| Basics of Japanese Adjectives| |(intro) and for those who would like to know the basics of Japanese sentences in general, there are lessons in the  Grammar corner of the Essentials where you can sort out the subjects, objects, and verbs of it all.

Now, we have reached the end of the introduction, and it is time to present the vocabulary.

Without further ado, let us NihonGO!!
